2024/06 Visit UIC Bioengineering Institute of Technology

In June 2024, HBRCC members visited the UIC Bioengineering Institute of Technology in Barcelona.

We were hosted by bioengineering student Sergi Chavales, who provided a campus tour and introduced the laboratory environment and equipment. The institute collaborates closely with its affiliated hospital, enabling direct feedback from clinicians and patients.

Sergi Chavales also participated in a three-month international exchange program at the National Taipei University of Technology.

Dr. Javier Gil noted that researchers working on similar topics are seated near one another, which not only facilitates discussion but also enables more efficient management of the instruments they need.

This approach may serve as a useful reference for the future management of students and international students at our center.
