2025/09 Medical Fair Thailand Bangkok 2025

From September 9 to September 14, 2025, the Center visited MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia.

The delegation consisted of Professor Hsu-Wei Fang, Director of the Center, Dr. Yu-Cheng Chang, and Dr. Shih-Hao Huang.

Through participation in the international professional exhibition and exchanges with industry representatives, the delegation gained insights into the latest developments in the medical device industry, while also enhancing the international visibility of the Center’s research achievements, strengthening connections with the Southeast Asian market, and exploring potential opportunities for future cross-border collaboration and technology commercialization.

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND is one of the leading professional medical device exhibitions in Southeast Asia and serves as an important platform for the industry to stay abreast of market trends, connect with international resources, and promote cross-border collaboration.

According to official statistics from 2023, the previous edition brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors from 55 countries and attracted 12,525 trade buyers and visitors, demonstrating the exhibition’s strong international influence within Southeast Asia’s medical and healthcare industry.

During the visit, the Center’s delegation actively explored medical-related companies and exhibition booths from various countries and regions, gaining a deeper understanding of the latest technological developments and market demands in the medical device industry.

The delegation focused on three key areas: digital health and telemedicine, precision diagnostics and testing technologies, and medical device supply chain and manufacturing solutions.

These areas included AI-assisted diagnosis, smart monitoring devices, molecular diagnostics, point-of-care testing platforms, as well as automation technologies and material applications in medical device manufacturing processes.

In addition to gaining insights into cutting-edge medical technologies, the Center also engaged with international companies to further understand different business models and market strategies across various regions.

Among these visits, Dr. Yu-Cheng Chang visited DKSH to learn more about its cross-border distribution network, local market development, and product promotion strategies. These insights will serve as valuable references for the Center’s future efforts in commercializing research outcomes and expanding into overseas markets.

Through its participation in MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2025, the Center not only gained a deeper understanding of the development trends shaping Southeast Asia’s medical device industry, but also strengthened its knowledge of international market needs, industry supply chains, and commercialization strategies.

Looking ahead, the Center will continue to connect with international industry resources, identify potential partners, promote the integration of research achievements with global markets, and further strengthen its international collaboration capacity in the biomedical and medical device sectors.
