2025/03 Biomedical Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Taipei Tech 2025
To promote the innovative development and commercialization of biomedical materials technologies, the High-Value Biomedical Materials Research and Commercialization Center at National Taipei University of Technology held its first “Biomedical Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Taipei Tech” from March 25 to 28, 2025.
Entrepreneurship experts, scholars, and startup teams from Taiwan and abroad were invited to Taipei Tech to participate in keynote lectures, expert panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, creating an interdisciplinary platform for exchange in biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship.
The bootcamp integrated biomedical materials research, technology commercialization, and practical innovation and entrepreneurship, beginning with the transformation of scientific research outcomes into products with market potential. Participating teams were guided to further explore key aspects of the entrepreneurial process, including market needs, business models, product positioning, and fundraising strategies.
During the event, a number of domestic and international speakers with experience in academic research, startups, investment, and industry were invited to share their insights. Through hands-on startup pitching and feedback from the judging panel, participants were able to simulate the real-world experience of presenting to investors.
At the same time, they had the opportunity to reassess their technological strengths, market needs, and business strategies from the perspectives of professional judges, thereby creating a more concrete connection between research outcomes and market applications.
The Biomedical Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Taipei Tech not only provided researchers and startup teams in the biomedical field with entrepreneurial knowledge and practical training, but also further connected academic research, industrial applications, and international entrepreneurship resources through exchanges with international speakers, industry experts, and investors.
Moving forward, the Center will continue to promote the commercialization of biomedical technologies and international collaboration, supporting promising research outcomes in their transition from the laboratory to the market, while further strengthening the innovation capacity and global competitiveness of Taiwan’s biomedical industry.
