During the exchange, her research primarily focused on the development and application of antibacterial materials for dental applications. At Prof. Hsu-Wei Fang’s laboratory at National Taipei University of Technology, she carried out the formulation development and experimental validation of clove oil/hydroxyapatite composite materials.

Through this research exchange, Justina Karčiauskaitė worked closely with laboratory members on material preparation, experimental procedures, and research discussions. The exchange further strengthened academic interaction in the fields of biomedical and dental materials and contributed to expanding research collaboration between Taiwan and Lithuania.
