The Center for Medical Technology, Materials and Translational Research (MT3 Center) of National Taipei University of Technology represented the university at Medical Fair Asia 2026 in Singapore, held from September 9 to September 11, 2026.

This exhibition is a landmark event in Southeast Asia for medical devices and biomedical technology, bringing together manufacturers and distributors from around the world across diverse fields including healthcare, smart medicine, laboratory equipment, and high-value medical materials.

During the exhibition, the MT3 Center engaged in technology promotion and business negotiations, showcasing its research team's high-value implantable medical devices and platform technologies.

These included six key achievements: Dermal Filler (a PDLLA-based collagen booster, approved for market in Taiwan and Thailand), Hemostasis Powders (a modified starch-based hemostatic product, approved for market in Taiwan), Lifting Threads (approved for market in Taiwan), Temporary Crown (a PMMA-based dental product, cleared by the U.S. FDA under 510(k)), Plastic-Surgery Implant (an ePTFE-based implant, approved for market in Taiwan), and Orthopaedic Anti-adhesive Gel (a tunable medical hydrogel formulation, ISO 13485 QMS certified).

 

 

Throughout the exhibition, the team engaged in in-depth discussions with potential partners, distributors, and biomedical industry peers from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, mainland China, and France, addressing topics such as local product registration, OEM/ODM collaboration models, and licensing of high-value implant materials and technologies.

This successfully expanded the university's international academia–industry collaboration and commercialization network, laying a solid foundation for future partnerships with major medical device manufacturers across ASEAN and Eurasia in the areas of technology licensing, semi-finished product supply, and distribution agency agreements.
